Hi there -
My boy is 2 yrs 11 mos old. He loved this toy at first, obviously. It is totally adorable and Christmasy. Right away my husband said "I don't see this one having legs", meaning it would become ignored rather quickly. There's really not much to do here. The train goes around and around, and you can use a hook crane to pick up and move one gift from here to there, and there are a few props like a Christmas tree, a sign that says North Pole, and a gate, but it's mostly just blah.
After just a few hours of play, I can already see the interest level fading. It's kind of a bummer since there is an additional Geotrax train under the tree right now, sigh.
Anyway as a thing to pull out and play with for a few weeks around Christmastime, this is kind of fun. But no way am I interested in expanding our Geotrax collection. It's just too dull in the longer-term.

This initially is a fun train set and is mostly durable. My complaint is that the remote only worked for one Christmas. I looked online and Mattel doesn't sell replacement remotes for this product. I'm disappointed considering the price of the item.
