We received this as a gift for our sons for Christmas. The quality is very cheap -- the tracks feel like they will break as you put them together -- and the engine and cars are wobbly and of poor quality. They fall off the tracks easily. The price of the whole set was $50, so I guess you get what you pay for. But the main thing we found annoying was the music. Christmas Carols are fun for a few minutes, but the sound is very high-pitched and piercing and there is no way to turn it off (at least that we could find). My usual trick of putting clear tape over the speaker for a toy to muffle the sound didn't work. There is no speaker, the sound just radiates from everywhere. Even our kids started to get annoyed with it, and you know it has to be bad if that's the case! I would not waste your money on this one.
